One can study the hall with the map of the territory of Kazakh Khanate in XV-XVIII c. The exposition «The Kazakh Khanate» represents the richest history of reigning by such great Kazakh khans as: Kerei, Zhanibek, Kasym, Hak-nazar, Tauke, Abulhair, Ablaj, Zhangir who made a significant contribution to the establishment of the Kazakh statehood, the formation of national consciousness and spirituality of the Kazakh people, the strengthening and expansion of borders of the territory of the Kazakh Khanate. There are the exhibits of Khan`s power: a banner, stamp, correspondence of the Kazakh khans, contracts, schemes, and also the copies of seals, judges’ breastplates. Among the numerous curiosities of this historical gallery one can find traditional Kazakh weapons: soldiers’ armour, the flag of the well-known Kazakh hero Baigozy Najmantajuly (1705-1803).
The exposition includes some historical events and facts of ХІХ-ХХ cc. such as:
● Migration policy of Russia in Kazakhstan and the Cossack colonization (late ХІХ– early ХХ cc.);
● Role and significance of a progressive part of the Kazakh intellectuals in maintaining the Kazakh statehood, its ethnic consciousness, sanctity and integrity of the territories of the Kazakh people;
● Struggle and consolidation of the Kazakh people for independence in 1916-1917;
● «Alash Orda» party foundation;
● Status of the Kazakh statehood in the period of collectivization, industrialization and F.Goloschokin's reforms;
● Mass famine in Kazakhstan;
● Participation of the Kazakh people in the Civil War (1914-1919) and the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945);
● Development of virgin lands in 1954;
● Science, education, culture, sports (1960-80);
● December events (1986).
